to Scottish Country Dance”
Scottish
Country Dance is a sociable dance form with roots stretching back for
centuries: it is popular worldwide (http://www.tartansauthority.com/global-scots/japan/scotland-in-japan/dance-societies/). It is formal; a mix
of social interaction with interesting people, physical and mental exertion,
tradition, etiquette, music, and much more. Locally there is one active
group that meets weekly, dancing every Friday night in Cleveland Heights.
The
“Cleveland Heights Group Royal Scottish Country Dance Society” would like you
to join them. An introductory lesson/dance occurs the fourth Friday every
month. This introduction to Scottish Country Dance is for the beginner and is
free the first time.
We
begin at 7:30pm at “Communion of Saints Parish” gym, formerly St. Ann’s Church,
2175 Coventry Rd. (corner of Cedar & Coventry), Cleveland Hts. 44118.
