【デトロイト領事館】Invitation to Japan program for Japanese-American High School Students

Dear Friends of the Consulate,

Please find attached a description and application form for the 2015 Invitation Program for Japanese-American Students sponsored by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The program provides five high school students of Japanese American heritage, a ten-day trip to Japan, including an orientation in San Francisco, to gain further understanding of Japanese culture and people. Students must have American citizenship and one or both parents must have some Japanese heritage. (See the description page for more information and criteria.) Participants from past years have truly enjoyed the experience and made life-long connections while in Japan.

The completed application is due to our office by April 29, 2015 and orientation in San Francisco is preliminarily set for June 26, 2015.

Please pass this information along to any who may be interested and/or eligible to apply for this program. We welcome any inquiries.
