JANO東日本大震災義援金募集中間報告

3月14日に緊急設立したJANO東日本義援金募集活動は、本日4月24日現在で、200人を超える多くの方から支援をいただき、＄５６，２８１の募金がJANOに託されています。これは多くの皆様の暖かな日本に対する支援で心より感謝の意を表したいと思います。　これに応えるために日本語補習校JLSCのほうからも全面的に御協力を頂いて、募金を頂いたほとんどの方に礼状およびレシートをお送りしました。この大切な募金全額を、デトロイト領事館にお願いして、日本赤十字社に送っていただくようにしたいと考えています。

また、この募金活動を中期ー長期にわたって展開し、その必要に応じた活動を展開させるために、現在のJANO Relief Fundを4月30日で締め、新たに、原発放射線災害を含んだ第2次JANO　Relief Fundを5月1日からスタートさせたいと思います。

Interim Report of JANO Earthquake Relief Fund

On behalf of Japanese Association of Northeast Ohio (JANO), I, Fukuo Hashimoto, would like to thank you very much for your heartfelt support for the Japanese Earthquake and Tunami Relief Fund established on March 14, 2011.

As of April 24, 2011, over 200 people have supported the relief fund with the donation of $56,281 in total. The fundraising provided by your generosity will be sent to Japan Red Cross and will be used to directly support those who suffered from the devastation.

We, JANO, believe that a mid-long term support will be required to rebuild communities, lifeline and infrastructures in affected areas. So, we will close the current 1^st. Earthquake Relief Fund for the immediate support by April 30, 2011, and will newly start on the 2^nd. JANO Earthquake Relief Fund as a mid-term support for affected people from Earthquake, Tunami and Radiation on May 1, 2011.
