FULL-TIME LECTURER IN JAPANESE - DEPARTMENT OF MODERN LANGUAGES AND LITERATURES

Job description

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for one full-time lecturer position in Japanese starting Fall 2021. The position is a non-tenured one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional one-year periods.

We seek candidates who are committed to Japanese language education, open to new methodologies and technologies, and wish to join an established language program that supports a major and a minor. Primary teaching duties are three courses each semester at all levels of Japanese. Credentials: M.A. (Ph.D. in SLA, applied linguistics, and related fields is a plus), evidence of excellence in undergraduate language teaching, and native/near-native language ability both in Japanese and English.
